SPAIN
It's not often we venture into the Champions League here at EFW but these photos made it worth the leap. Clive Hammond and his pals followed Arsenal over to Spain for the visit to Villarreal.
Presumably the sunset over the ground was brought to us by the good people of Cannon, Heineken, Amstel and that tyre company!?
Thanks for the photos Clive. Glad you enjoyed the trip mate (You've seen the other photos on his Facebook profile then!? - Ed).
Oh my God! Solar-powered floodlights! Our newest friend here at EFW HQ is Robin Bailey. The Robster is a regular visitor to Spain. On his last visit he saw CF Palencia play at the Estadio Nueva Balastera. They do their stuff in the Tercera Division - Group 8. Do we have ourselves an early contender for the EFW 2009 awards!? Floodlights of the year anyone!?
There now follows an astonishing run of photos of Nick + big grin + Spanish Football Grounds.
Nick and Big Deaks enjoying what can only be described as a match at Getafe. Sort you scarf out Deaks.
Giorgio from Rome is back! This time with a rare bit of Spanish flag action from the Real Zaragoza v Elche fixture (Sept 08). Real Zaragoza as anybody worth their salt knows, have the deeepest goal nets in Europe. For that reason alone I'm booking a trip out there soon.
And what to do before going to Sevilla FC!? Nip across to Real Betis FC of course. So Simple 'Pieman'.
It's Spain, it's Barcelona, it's the Camp Nou and yes it's 'El Classico' - Barca v Real Madrid sent in by (Brighton fan) Ian.
Kilmarnock fan Robin enjoying a Spanish EFW inside the Estadi Olimpic. He saw Espanyol v Racing Santander and tells me this picture was taken in October of 2006 with a trusty old disposable camera - good darts lad!
