Drove past the Falmer last week and it looks fantastic...really hope you guys get to christen it in the Championship.

Also hoping to get to the Withdean whilst you're still there. Never been before and want to get another ground 'ticked off' before it's too late.

All the best for the rest of the season and you may well become my adopted second team!Chrisnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3338911017388638492.post-53334024919542453892011-02-21T14:24:39.312+00:002011-02-21T14:24:39.312+00:00Good report, enjoyed reading it.

How we laughed!

Moral: whatever works for you, works for you.

Good luck for the rest of the season.Beagriestachenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3338911017388638492.post-50581701863300722872011-02-21T01:23:01.794+00:002011-02-21T01:23:01.794+00:00Another good'un Danny. And the pub's walkable from the station, if you don't mind the hill. When we went we were so far back in the queue of coaches we thought we'd be hours getting back to the pub but we were supping in 20 minutes. Stoke had won but the fans were still pretty critical of Pulis.Eddietheshoenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3338911017388638492.post-48522387808283229602011-02-20T20:58:22.313+00:002011-02-20T20:58:22.313+00:00@Pearcemrk3 - Thanks very much indeed. Fancy dress seems a bit daft nowadays, but back then it was all the rage for the last game of the season.
The Brit should be rocking for the QF. Penkhull is, however, a superb place to drink before and after the match. The Beehive, Terrace Inn and Greyhound are all recommended if you're an away fan. There's other pubs around there as well. Stoke fans have a bit of a reputation, I suppose, but they were as good as gold yesterday. First class.

We went in the Delilah Bar at the ground afterwards to "let the crowd die down", some great memorabilia in there as well. Gah, I'm being far too nice. Shame about the result but SCFC were too savvy for us - quicker to loose balls, promptly taken free kicks and those set pieces! A good learning experience for the team and arguably better we can now focus on the job in hand. Better second half, incidentally and the Potters seemed to acknowledge we were a footballing side. Biggest compliment, though, was Pullis putting out a strong team.Rod Streethttp://www.therfcblog.blog.co.uknoreply@blogger.com
