While living in Dublin isn't something I'd recommend to anyone , visiting for a weekend or so is a nice thing to do. You get the best of the city in a couple of days, and get out again before you realise there isn't that much to see and do.

When I lived in Ireland, my first game was at Lansdowne Road, the old stadium which is now named Aviva Stadium in its rebuilt version. Shelbourne vs Lille that was, because Shels' own ground was too small and lots of neutral Irish fans wanted to be there, the Lansdowne Road stadium was used. I have great memories of that one, it was a nice authentic stadium. All stands had something quite old school and the atmosphere was great. In a way it is sad that it is gone , even though the Aviva looks like a nice ground compared to many modern stadiums.

Porto had an amazing season and can still do a treble if they win the Portuguese Cup final (played this weekend). Three trophies in one season + finishing the league unbeaten, that is amazing. I heard Falcao would be on Barcelona's list but apparently they want to keep their squad together to get far in the Champions League next year. If they indeed keep their best players, this Porto side is strong enough to indeed get far in the Champions League, they were too strong for the Europa League and stronger than about half of the teams that did play the CL this year.

Congrats Porto!Gerritnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3338911017388638492.post-78267492892800778992011-05-21T00:39:28.320+01:002011-05-21T00:39:28.320+01:00Fantastic story, I am very happy to see my club de...Fantastic story, I am very happy to see my club depicted in this blog, I follow some time ago.

What a great season, what a great team, great coach, what big fans!

http://thebluefactoryofdreams.blogspot.com/The Blue Factory of Dreamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13352863201156476631noreply@blogger.com
